Praying for Fox Rain (여우비)

Hello Spring! Spring is nearly three days away, and soon instead of snow spring showers will come. Spring showers, or fox rain (여우비(yo-ubi in Korean)) is my favorite type of rain. Its light and not heavy and comes and goes like clouds covering the sun on a partly sunny day. When the rain comes it clears away all dirt and dust that may have gathered overtime. Every once in a while, particularly on rainy days I feel a breathe of relief and a cleared mind. Recently, since the beginning of 2016 I’ve been having a hard time in my love life, work life, and even family life.  Handling each one of these difficulties is a constant energy drainer. Sometimes we all need some clarity, which makes me wish for fox rain days. On these days, receiving a clearer mind is a breathe of relief.

Looking outside the window of a cafe is something I could spend hours doing. In such instances when we are calm and composed we can find the strength to organize our thoughts, worries, goals, and feelings. We can find the strength to layout a plan for ourselves.

So while praying for fox rain this spring I look forward to organizing my life…
